Andrew Metz received his Bachelor’s Degree from Hamilton College and completed an honors thesis on the origins of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He studied history at the University of Edinburgh and has a Master’s Degree in Journalism from New York University. He was an International Reporting Project Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he studied and wrote about water conflicts in the Middle East. He is a producer at the CBS News show, 60 Minutes, where he’s done stories ranging from the US Airways crash in the Hudson River to the global conglomerate General Electric, police corruption in Chicago to water struggles in California. Prior to joining the broadcast, he spent about a decade at Newsday, where he covered the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as well as national and local news. He was also reporter at the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Palm Beach Post.
